Frogholler Lavender Farm has always had crafted goods since the very beginning when we opened the farm and store to the public. For years we have been producing a variety of hand crafted goods from a plethora of materials. Cloth, lavender, silk, thread, and lace have went into the small knickknacks in our store that you see each year. Decades of wood working expertise have churned out items both large and small, from hand carved cedar soap trays to large wooden benches and chairs. Now, after refining our skill to artistic levels over the span of many years, we are proud to offer to the public for the first time our line of up Quilts and Quilted goods.
We have dedicated an entire page to just quilt items, such is the value and effort we both place on and put into our quilts. A quality quilt with intricate patterns, colorful shapes, and contrasting lines is the draw of a room, it is what catches the eye. In the sitting room, when draped tastefully over a couch or folded delicately on an ottoman, it is often what your guests will see jump out at them first. It brings awe-struck conversation naturally, impressed gasps from your visitors. When placed on top of the bed it offers the chance to set your bedroom’s tone based on your particular tastes. You can go from colorful multi-patterned flowers in the Spring for a light, energetic look to solid hues of blue and silver in the Winter, for a cozy cottage feel. A quilt can be the anchor for all of your other decorations to pull on, the centerpiece that sets the tone of any room in your home.
The products you will seen below are made using both Southern quilting techniques and Amish quilting techniques. We have brought both styles together and blended them to create our own methods of producing quilted goods. These items are normally one-of-a-kind; by their very nature and how we produce them by hand you are likely to never see two that are identical. Unlike quilts you can buy at a large chain store these items were not made in a matter of minutes on a large machine. Every individual piece is painstakingly hand cut, hand stitched, and carefully added to the quilt section by section. It can take up several weeks to months to produce just one large sized quilt. When you see one, it’s patterns and pieces blended carefully together, remember that each individual section is the culmination of endless hours of delicate stitching.
